Recently during a trip to the Pottery Village, some of us started talking about how we wanted to get tandoor ovens like Janet. The next conversation that followed was "and wouldn't it be great to all LEARN how to cook with them?"
Now, I typically use many of the menus provided by Diva Dinners, or rely on Epicurious recipes handed to Shanti and instead just stick with personally making lemonade, but we decided to experiment a bit and have a Tandoor Cooking Lesson Party! (Note: NOT the same group of gals from our monthly MAD Cooking Parties)
Firing up the ovens ::
The chefs came bearing smiles and the ingredients!
We all brought our lovely cooks, so they too could learn the art of tandoori cooking.
Fruit Chaat ::
Learning how to properly roll naan balls ::
What an amazing time spent together, learning and exploring the art of tandoor cooking. Getting to know new friends better, and laughing and cohorting with old friends.
Recipes will soon follow. Promise.
